For my business class I have to do something called a “frustration survey” – a survey to find out what annoys people most about health care. The answers I get from this survey will help me to better understand what my patients are hoping for in their medical care experience.
I went to the mall and did my frustration survey (yes, I was the annoying one with the clipboard – it was awful!) and got some very interesting answers. Now I am asking you, my beloved readers, to do the same survey. 1) What frustrates you most about the health care industry?
It’s a little too mysterious for my liking.
2) What frustrates you most about going to the doctor?
I guess I don’t feel confident that my ailments will be relieved.
3) What do you like best about going to the doctor?
If I go and my problem gets fixed, that’s the best.

Nope. I haven’t been to much of any health care practitioner lately.
1. It cuts corners on good care for monetary reasons.
2. Well, I go to a student health center and everyone there is pretty friendly and the doctors and NPs are good listeners. The waiting room can be smelly and crowded, though.
3. A good doctor is like a good hairdresser– you trust them to take care of you.
4. No, my insurance won’t cover it.
